Ouef
Ouef is a delightful brunch spot that has gained quite a reputation for its legendary frumpets (French toast crumpets).
The lovely interior and Wes Anderson-style aesthetics make it the perfect place to unwind and indulge in a hearty breakfast.
Located close to the beach, it’s the ideal spot to fuel up before a day of seaside fun. New in 2023, they have a lovely garden which is the perfect spot for a sunny day.
Keep in mind that Ouef gets quite busy, so make sure to book well in advance. Don’t worry though – they normally save some space for walk-ins.
7bone
Recently re-opened, 7bone is already making waves in Hove with its fantastic burgers and quirky menu. With a myriad of options to choose from, you’ll be spoilt for choice.
For example, the grilled cheeseburger is a scrumptious treat that combines a burger with a grilled cheese sandwich.
The fantastic burger names like “Donnie J Trump” (a Wotsit-topped burger) and “Prince Charles is Overrated” add to the experience. Don’t forget to try their delicious sides, especially the chicken fried olives.
Hixon Green
Hixon Green is yet another brunch gem in Hove, offering delectable cooked breakfasts. Their sausages are particularly amazing, and you won’t want to miss them.
For those who love Ouef’s frumpets, Hixon Green presents a delicious rival – freffles (French toast waffles).
What’s more, they offer all-day cocktails, so you can sip on your favourite concoction while indulging in scrumptious brunch treats.
As the sun goes down, Hixon Green transforms into a fine dining establishment, serving up seafood, burgers, and small plates to tantalise your taste buds.
